My Shining Debut!

I saw a rough draft of the first scene of “Plight of the Living Dead” this morning and it’s awesome. I think it’s pretty clear that my acting career is going to blossom after this hits the theaters. I’ll have to stop talking to all of you and get some friends with better hair but that’s a small price to pay for stardom. I’m sure you understand.

Early?

The last time I was up this early I hadn’t been to bed yet, and I was on my way home from Town Topic. Heh!

The new Coheed and Cambria album is really good. It’s more progressive than rock, this time around, which is cool. They continue to make their album and song titles completely unrememberable. So far my favorite track is “Apollo I: The Writing Writer”.

The album comes out on the 20th, so you best getcha a copy when it does!

This week is looking pretty good so far. Tonight is birthday Nikko with my brother Adam, and tomorrow is Onemilliontinyjesuses at The Brick. No plans for Friday, but we all know how that’ll end. And Saturday is Interpol! Woot! Big fun!

Loot Obtained!

I just snatched the new Coheed and Cambria album off EasyNews and now I’m listening to the first track. Awww yeaaaa…

Like a kid on Christmas day, I am.

Lonely Little Powerbook

I went home for lunch today and sitting on my porch, looking all forlorn was a wet cardboard box that I recognized. It was the box I sent my Powerbook to Apple in just a few days ago.

Inside, nestled amoung the foam and anti-static wrapping was a nice, dry Powerbook which has aparently had it’s hard drive and LCD replaced. I have no idea why it had it’s LCD replaced but… thanks!

I only had a few minutes to mess with it before I had to get back to work but so far it seems all happy. Hooray for Apple! It shipped to Apple Tuesday morning and was fixed and on my porch less than 48 hours later. Take heed lesser manufacturers!

I Have Gas

Cheeseburger in Paradise was just okay. Lame environment, lame singer dude, pretty good food, really good key lime pie and entertaining waiter. Probably won’t go back.

This morning I bought $20 worth of gasoline and got about 6 gallons. That sucked.

And now I have to go to a meeting. And then I have to add the flags, comments and unscheduled visits to EDT. So there.

Oh yea, I still managed to lose 0.2 lbs.

Popeye’s On A Diet

Had lunch with the old CRL posse today and as usual it was at Popeye’s. I’m trying to be good on my diet so here’s what I came up with for a meal. Not too darn bad for a fast food place.

3 Chicken Strip Meal w/ Naked Chicken Strips
3 Naked Chicken Strips 170 calories
Side Cajun Rice 180 calories
Buttermilk Biscuit 240 calories
Water

590 calories. Not bad at all. Next time I will probably get 6 strips and forget the biscuit. Those biscuits are the best on the planet, but obviously they aren’t too good for the ol diet.

TIME!

Oh God, it’s 2:48pm and you know what that means!
It’s lame techno lyrics that I’m currently listening to time!

Sometimes the sound of goodbye is louder than any drum beat!
Sometimes the sound of goodbye is louder than any drum beat!
Sometimes the sound of goodbye is louder than any drum beat!
Sometimes the sound of goodbye is louder than any drum beat!
Sometimes the sound of goodbye is louder than any drum beat!
Sometimes the sound of goodbye is louder than any drum beat!

My apologies to Jory.

On Zer Wagon

I’m back to dieting. The last few weeks I’ve made a little effort and in the last two I’ve made a fairly serious effort. This week I have been doing really well and the weight is starting to slide off like in the olden days. This morning I was at 207.4.

The feeling of losing weight is a really good one. Mentally it’s nice to know it’s working but physically it actually feels good. Every morning after a day without cheating I can feel changes. Even if it’s just a few ounces I’ve lost over 24 hours I feel different, and better. That helps a lot with the times when it sucks, which is pretty much all day long.
Yesterday I had a Slim Fast for breakfast, a homemade turkey sandwich for lunch and a homemade turkey sandwich for dinner. That is it. Nothing else went into my mouth except for toothpaste and water all day long.

I generally count my sandwiches at about 500 calories. They are probably actually a little less. I use two slices of bread, 1 slice of cheese, fat free turkey and a little mustard. No mayo! Two of those and my Slim Fast puts me at 1180 calories for the day. Quite a bit less than a growing boy needs! That might explain why I woke up tired after going to bed at 9:30pm last night and sleeping till 7am.

I don’t have very far to go. I want to see a number on the scale that starts with a 1 and after that I’m done. Assuming I like the way I look, at least. I’d really like to get rid of my bitch tits, and the rest of my belly but I look around at guys my age and it seems pretty common. My sense of self is totally skewed though. A lot of times when I look at myself in the mirror I see a huge, fat person. I know I’m not far from “normal” now but depending on the day I still see myself last November.

So there’s that. I’m not sure if I’ll manage to lose weight today since Courtney and I are going to go to Cheeseburger in Paradise for dinner. That should be a fun test.

The Aristocrats is playing down in Westport somewhere. I can’t wait to see it. I’ve been wanting to since I heard about it back in the day. I even knew the joke already 🙂

And we ain’t talking olive oil here…

Monday’s ceremony was the culmination of a week of preparations, which included the lifting of a royal ban on sex with virgins, decreed in 2001 to help rein in HIV.

Days after reviving the ancient ban, Mswati in 2001, married a virgin and fined himself one cow. Last week he lifted the five-year ban a year early, ordering thousands of maidens to throw off chastity scarves worn to ward of preying men.

Now all I need is 100 cows and a plane ticket.
Oh, and to be a king.
